This Privacy Policy applies to all of the services offered by Access Softek, Inc.  By using Access Softek’s products or services or visiting our websites, you expressly consent to the collection, processing, and use of your personally identifying information according to this Privacy Policy.


1. Data We Collect

We collect data in the following ways:

  1. Information you give us.  For example, many of our services require you to register and sign up for an account.  When you do, we’ll ask for personal information, like your name, email address, telephone number, or credit card to store with your account.  Some services also require you to upload content, such as Access Softek’s Video Recovery Services, which we will store for a limited time as required to perform the service.
  2. Information we get from your use of our services.  We collect information about the services that you use and how you use them.  This information includes information related to your use of our services, such as how often you use our services, the date and time of your use(s), Internet protocol addresses used to access our services.  We also keep a record of any communications between us.


2. How We Use Data We Collect

We use the information we collect to provide, maintain, protect, and improve our services, as well as to develop new services and to protect Access Softek and our users. 

For example, we may use information such as your name and email address for internal record keeping, providing service updates and updates to Access Softek’s Terms of Service and Privacy Policy, and requesting feedback.

We may also use data related to your use of the service to better tailor the service to you or to other users.

We will not sell any data we collect from you through your use of our services.  However, Access Softek reserves the right to use and share aggregated, anonymized data collected from all or some of our users for business purposes, such as for analyzing Access Softek’s business growth or promoting Access Softek’s services.


3. Use of Cookies

To protect your privacy we do not store any tracking or marketing cookies on your computer. For the purpose of proper functioning of the website, we use strictly necessary cookies only, including:

These are temporary session cookies; they are valid only while your session is active.


4. Accessing and Updating Your Personal Information

Whenever you use our services, we aim to provide you with access to your personal information. If that information is wrong, we strive to give you ways to update it quickly or to delete it, unless we have to keep that information for legitimate business or legal purposes.  When updating your personal information, we may ask you to verify your identity before we can act on your request.

We aim to maintain our services in a manner that protects information from accidental or malicious destruction.  Because of this, after you delete information from our services, we may not immediately delete residual copies from our active servers and may not remove information from our backup systems.


5. Information We Share

We do not share personal information with companies, organizations, or individuals outside of Access Softek unless one of the following circumstances applies:

  1. With your consent.  We will share your personal data when we have your your affirmative consent.
  2. For external processing.  We provide personal information to our affiliates or other trusted businesses or persons to process it for us, based on our instructions and in compliance with our Privacy Policy and any other appropriate confidentiality and security measures.
  3. For legal reasons.  We will share personal information with companies, organizations, or individuals outside of Access Softek if we have a good-faith belief that access, use, preservation or disclosure of the information is reasonably necessary to:
    • Meet any applicable law, regulation, legal process or enforceable governmental request.
    • Enforce applicable Terms of Service, including investigation of potential violations.
    • Detect, prevent, or otherwise address fraud, security or technical issues.
    • Protect against harm to the rights, property or safety of Access Softek, our users, or the public as required or permitted by law.
  4. In case of a merger, acquisition, or asset sale.  If Access Softek is involved in a merger, acquisition or asset sale, we will continue to ensure the confidentiality of any personal information and give affected users notice before personal information is transferred or becomes subject to a different privacy policy.


6. Information security

We take reasonable steps and follow generally accepted industry standards to protect Access Softek and our users from unauthorized access to or unauthorized alteration, disclosure, or destruction of information we hold.  

For example, we:

  1. Review our information collection, storage and processing practices, including physical security measures, to guard against unauthorized access to systems.
  2. Restrict access to personal information to Access Softek employees, contractors and agents who need to know that information in order to process it for us, and who are subject to strict contractual confidentiality obligations and may be disciplined or terminated if they fail to meet these obligations.


7. Changes

Our Privacy Policy may change from time to time.  We will post any privacy policy changes on this page and, if the changes are significant, we may provide a more prominent notice as required.  Nevertheless, you should periodically review our Privacy Policy for updates.
